Province Reports No New Cases of COVID-19, Changes In Data Presentation

Health officials say no new cases of COVID-19 were found in the province yesterday and no new deaths were reported today.

The new figures come after the province changed the way it reports COVID-19 data.

Among the changes, officials are now counting cases based on where the person lives instead of where they were tested.

The latest figures show the total number of cases reported in the Eastern Zone, that includes Cape Breton, has gone up to 56 since the last report.

However, it says there are now only five active cases of the virus in the whole province and there are no active cases in any of the province’s long-term care homes.
