Province Reports 29 New COVID Cases

The province is reporting 29 new cases of COVID-19 over the long weekend.

Two of those cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton and both are related to travel.

There were also 15 new cases in the Central Zone and six each in the Western and Northern Zones.

The province is also reporting 26 recoveries today.

There’s now a total of 58 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including two in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.

Two people in the province are in hospital with the virus.

Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 briefing at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
