Province Reports 18 New COVID Cases, Renews State of Emergency

The province is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 today as it renews its State of Emergency.

There are no new cases in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

12 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, with three new cases each in the Western and Northern Zones.

The province is also reporting 17 more recoveries today.

There’s now a total of 199 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including four in the Regional Municipality and two in the Inverness, Victoria and Richmond Community Health Network.

14 people in the province are now in hospital with the virus, including one person in intensive care.

The State of Emergency is being extended to October 31st.
