Province Reporting Two New COVID Cases

The province is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 today.

Both cases are in the Central Zone.

One is related to travel and the other is a close contact of an earlier reported case.

The province is also reporting three recoveries today, bringing the total number of known active cases down to 11.

One person in the province is in hospital with COVID-19 and is being treated in intensive care.

Just over 76% of people in the province have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Just under 65% have had two doses.

Meanwhile, another news conference has been scheduled with the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang.

The event is scheduled for 2:00 tomorrow afternoon.
