Province Reporting COVID-19 Death, 13 Hospitalizations, 415 Cases

The province is reporting another COVID-19 death today, as well as 13 new hospital admissions because of the virus.

Health officials say the person who died was a woman in her 80’s in the Eastern Zone.

There are now 73 people in the province in hospital who were admitted because of COVID-19, including 15 people in intensive care.

The province is also reporting 415 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 today.

233 of those cases are in the Central Zone, with 68 in the Eastern Zone, 40 in the Northern Zone and 74 in the Western Zone.

Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are scheduled to give another COVID-19 update at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
