Province Reporting 25 New COVID Cases

The province is reporting 25 new cases of COVID-19 today, including three in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

Health officials say two of the new Eastern Zone cases are under investigation, while the other is a close contact of an earlier reported case.

14 of the new cases are in the Central Zone, with five in the Northern Zone and three in the Western Zone.

The province is also reporting 17 more recoveries today.

That leaves the total number of confirmed active cases in the province at 137, including five in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.

Nine people in the province are currently in hospital with the virus, though none of those people are in intensive care.
