Province Reporting 127 New COVID Cases

The province is reporting 127 new cases of COVID-19 today.

There are 68 new cases in the Eastern Zone, with 42 in the Central Zone, 11 in the Northern Zone and six in the Western Zone.

There’s now a total of 427 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, including four active cases in the Regional Municipality.

Six people in the province are in hospital with the virus, including two people in intensive care.

Health officials say no one is in hospital with the virus in the Eastern Zone.

They also say they’re seeing some delays in follow-up because of a spike in testing and positive cases.

They say they will try to contact anyone confirmed positive by the lab within 24 hours to provide information on required isolation and testing.

All cases will be asked to contact their close contacts.
