Province Launches COVID Self-Assessment Tool

The province says people with COVID-19 symptoms can now get tested faster.

Premier Stephen McNeil says with school resuming and other parts of Canada seeing a second wave of COVID-19, Nova Scotia is increasing its ability to test people.

McNeil said today after a Cabinet meeting the new online COVID-19 self-assessment tool is expected to reduce the wait time for screening.

If the online assessment determines someone needs a test, health officials will contact them within a day or two.

The online is assessment is available at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca.
