Province Extends Virtual Care

The province is extending the availability of virtual care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its says doctors and other regulated health professions can continue to offer publicly funded services virtually until March 31st of next year.

The province says more than one and a half million healthcare services were provided virtually during the pandemic last year.

It says an evaluation of virtual health care will be completed before the latest extension ends and a long-term approach will be developed.
