Province Easing COVID-19 Visiting Restrictions

People will soon be able to visit friends and relatives at the province’s long-term care homes and homes for people with disabilities.

The measures will come into effect on Monday but some restrictions will still be in place.

Only two people at a time will be allowed to visit and the visit will have to happen in a designated area outside the home.

Visitors will also have to wear non-medical masks and keep a distance of six feet, and they’ll have to be screened for symptoms of COVID-19.

The province says each home will speak directly with people living there and their families to arrange visits.
