Province Announces Transit Funding

The Regional Municipality is getting $425,000 from the province to help support transit services.

The money is coming out of the Public Works Transit Assistance Program, where the province has set aside a total of $2.9 million for seven groups.

The province is also giving a total of $2 million in operating funding to 20 door-to-door community transportation services.

Some of that funding is going to transit groups in Victoria County and Cheticamp.
