Province Announces Support For Small Business

Inclusive Economic Growth Minister Labi Kousoulis announced COVID-19 supports for business this morning.

The one new program is the Small Business Impact Grant Part 3 and it opens for applications this week.

It provides eligible businesses with a one-time grant of 15 per cent of their sales revenue for the month of April 2019 or February 2020, up to a maximum of $5,000.

The province says it will also be deferring fees until June 30th for businesses that were required to close or were significantly curtailed by the April public health restrictions.

Applications for the already announced Tourism Accommodations Real Property Tax Rebate Program Part 2 open today.

Applications will open the week of May 10th for the Small Business Real Property Tax Rebate Program that was announced in March.
