Province Announces Opening of Atlantic Bubble

The province has announced the so-called Atlantic Bubble is opening up later next week, allowing people to travel more freely within the region.
People will no longer have to self-isolate if they visit another province in the region starting on July 3rd.

Premier Stephen McNeil says they haven’t set a date yet to ease travel restrictions with the rest of the country but he hopes that can happen in the second or third week of July.

When the Atlantic bubble opens up, people will have to the follow public health rules in place in each province, including physical distancing and not travelling if they have any symptoms of COVID-19.

News of the bubble comes after the province recorded its fifteenth day in a row without reporting a new case of COVID-19 today.

Health officials say there are no active cases of the virus in the province.
