The province announced $553,000 in funding today for permanent homes and support services for men exiting homelessness in Sydney.
The Cape Breton Community Housing Association will offer supportive housing for six men at its Union Street property and will continue supporting eight others at its Margaret Street site.
The Union Street site is expected to open in the fall.
The Margaret Street site is federally funded until June 30th and the province will assume the costs starting on July 1st.
