Province Announces Additional COVID Restrictions

The province is adding more restrictions to those announced earlier this week with continuing concern about the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Masks are now required indoors at public schools where physical distancing can’t be done.

Masks are not required outdoors.

In addition, people watching sports or arts and culture events can’t eat or drink in the main seating area of the venue and they’ll have to go to a designated area for eating and drinking.

Except for medical appointments, people in long-term care can only leave their home if they’re fully vaccinated and it’s strongly recommended they have their booster dose as well

People in Disability Support Program homes licensed under the Homes for Special Care Act have the same restrictions as people in long-term care.
