Province Announces 4 More COVID-19 Deaths, Including 1 In CB

Four more people have died of COVID-19-related causes in the province, including another person in Cape Breton.

The province says one of the four lived at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in Sydney and the three others were at the Northwood home in Halifax.

There have now been 16 COVID-19-related deaths in the province.

Nova Scotia has also recorded its largest daily increase in COVID-19 cases with 55 new cases found yesterday.

One new case was found in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

There’s now a total of 48 cases in the zone and a total of 827 provincewide.  

As of yesterday, there was a total of 10 licenced long-term care homes and unlicensed seniors facilities in the province with cases of COVID-19, affecting a total of 158 residents and 79 staff.
