Province Adding Temporary Long Term Care Positions To Address Staff Shortages

The province says short-term paid positions are now available in long-term care.

It says healthcare workers not currently in the workforce are being asked to fill positions in long-term care facilities to address staffing shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health Association Nova Scotia is partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care to recruit people with needed skills and training who are retired or not currently working in the sector, as well as those who are working part-time and can move to full-time temporarily.
