Regional Police say someone shot a projectile through a window at the McConnell Memorial Library in Sydney. They add a security guard noticed the small hole on the Bentinck Street side of the building at around 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon. The window is in a public section of the library known as the Nova Scotia room. No one was in the room at the time of the incident. A library official says there was no damage to the window when it was checked at around 1:00 that afternoon. Police Staff Sgt. Reg Hutchings says the damage is believed to have been caused by either a pellet gun or a slingshot, although no ammunition was found.
