Premier Meeting With Teachers Union Today

Premier Stephen McNeil is due to meet with the Teachers Union today as the union continues to fight recommendations from the Glaze report.

They include removing principals and vice principals from the Teachers’ Union and disbanding elected English school boards.

Neither the Union nor the government is saying when and where today’s meeting is happening.

Meanwhile, some locals of the Teachers Union are organizing picket schedules after teachers voted in favour of illegal job action, last week.

The Teachers Union hasn’t said how much notice it will give in advance of any possible job action.

48 hours would be required for legal job action.
