Preliminary Hearing Today In Decades-Old Richmond County Sex Crimes Case

A preliminary hearing is due to start today for a 90 year-old Richmond County man facing 12 sex charges against children.

Delmore Boudreau from Petit de Grat was charged after an eight-month investigation by RCMP.

The charges date to between 1966 and 1986 and include nine people who were between 4 and 12 years old at the time.

A total of 13 days have been set aside for the preliminary hearing that will determine if there’s enough evidence to go to trial.

Boudreau has elected to be tried by a judge and jury if the case goes to trial.
