An Eskasoni man charged with manslaughter after a fatal pedestrian/vehicle crash in Sydney is due back in court today for a preliminary hearing.

34-year-old Larry Daniel Stevens is charged in the death of 37-year-old James Bonar.

Regional Police say they got called to Argyle Street near Wentworth Park, shortly after 3:30 on the morning of August 31st after getting a report of a person being hit by a vehicle.

Police say Stevens punched Bonar and left him unconscious on the street, before Bonar was hit by a vehicle.
