Port of Sydney Manager Injured in Crash

The 63-year-old woman taken to the Regional Hospital on Friday with serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash in Howie Centre has been identified as Port of Sydney marketing and development manager Bernadette MacNeil.

Port of Sydney CEO Marlene Usher says she visited MacNeil in the hospital yesterday and says she’s still in serious condition but is stable.

Usher goes on to say they expect a full recovery but she has a lot of broken bones.

The 90-year-old woman who died in the crash was MacNeil’s mother Christie MacInnis from Big Pond.

RCMP say the crash took place just before 10:30 Friday morning.

Nobody was injured in the other two vehicles.
