Poll Finds Most International Students Would Like To Stay In CB

A new poll finds 87 per cent of international students studying in Cape Breton would like to stay on the Island after graduation.

The Cape Breton Island Centre for Immigration surveyed 140 international students for the poll last September.

However, the Centre says graduate retention rates in Cape Breton continue to be low.

It cites challenges such as employment and the winter climate.

However, it says other challenges can be overcome.

They include inadequate public transportation and housing, and a lack of activities, entertainment, services, and shopping facilities.
