Police Still Investigating Weekend Accident

Regional Police say they’re still investigating after a 15-year-old girl was airlifted to Halifax hospital with life-threatening injuries after car rolled over near Broughton Road and Horne’s Road on the weekend.

Police add four other young people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash.

A 21 year-old man, a 24 year-old man, a 21-year-old woman and another 15 year-old girl involved in the crash are from the Sydney and Point Aconi areas.

Police say the 21-year-old man was driving the car when it rolled over shortly before midnight on Saturday.

A preliminary investigation has ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.

Police have seized the vehicle for inspection.
