Police Seeking Witnesses After Sydney Assault

Regional Police are looking for the public’s help after a 75 year-old man was assaulted in Sydney earlier this week.

They say the man was assaulted in his vehicle by people asking for a ride outside the Sydney Credit Union on Townsend Street between 6:00 and 6:30 on Monday night.

The attackers got away after taking the man’s wallet.

Police say the man’s Grey Honda Accord was parked in the area at the time of the attack and they’re asking people to call police or Crime Stoppers if they were in the area at the time.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Regional Hospital in Sydney and has since been released.
