Police seek two suspects in North Sydney robbery and assault

Cape Breton Regional Police are looking for two people after a man was robbed and assaulted in North Sydney early Saturday morning.
Police say the man was walking home when he was approached by two people around twenty after three in the morning, at the corner of Wilkie Avenue and Regent Street.
They say the two attacked the man and made demands. When the victim attempted to defend himself, police say the assailants produced a weapon and continued their assault, causing serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he is in serious but stable condition.
Anyone with any information on this attack is asked to call Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
