Police Say St. Agnes School Fire Is Suspicious

Regional Police say yesterday’s fire that destroyed the former St. Agnes School in New Waterford is suspicious.

They add there was no power in the vacant building and go on to say security has been placed on the scene while police and the Fire Marshall’s Office investigate.

Police say they got the call to the fire at 10:45 yesterday morning.

The school had been vacant since it was closed last year, along with Mount Carmel Elementary in New Waterford.
