by Halifax Police have ruled a suspicious death in Purcell’s Cove a murder and have identified 32-year-old Kristin Elizabeth Johnston as the victim.
Johnston worked as a yoga instructor in Halifax.
Police discovered Johnston’s body inside her home shortly before 8:00 on Saturday morning after getting a call from inside the house on Oceanview Drive.
They say they’ve arrested a person of interest in the case who remains in hospital with injuries they describe as significant but not life threatening.
They add the man in his thirties also lived at the home where Johnston’s body was found.
Police aren’t releasing any more details at this time and say their investigation continues.
