Regional Police say they’re keeping an eye on what they’re calling a noticeable increase in ATV traffic in the municipality.
They say between June and last month, officers stopped more than 70 off-road vehicles and handed out tickets for driving on roads and without permits.
They also say they’re seeing a larger number of underage drivers without adult supervision or the right equipment.
ATV drivers are being reminded to wear a helmet, have a valid licence and drive in designated areas only.
They can be fined for driving on regular roads, sidewalks or the Grand Lake Road Multi-Use Path.
