Police Issue Warning About Social Media Challenge

Regional Police are warning young people about the consequences of a social media challenge that involves banging or kicking on peoples’ front doors and running away.

Police say officers responded to five complaints from people in Sydney’s Ashby area on Saturday night, with some of the activity resulting in dented doors and broken door frames.

They add officers patrolled the area but couldn’t find the people responsible.

Police go on to say taking part in the social media challenge could lead to criminal charges for mischief.

Anyone with information about who might be responsible for the mischief is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
