Police Investigating Violent Home Invasion In Louisbourg

Regional Police say a man was sent to hospital with serious injuries as a result of a violent home invasion in Louisbourg early this morning.

Police say they got a report just before 5 am that a man was awoken by two men who kicked in the door to his home and began beating him.

The two men then fled the scene.

Police say they don’t believe anything was stolen.

The Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information on the incident is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Dave Desveaux, a native of New Waterford leverages his experience and passion for research in The Coast 89.7 Newsroom where as the Weekday Newscaster. His foray into radio began with a research position at The Coast, which led to the production of a radio documentary on the music of the Mi’kmaq people.
