Police investigating Townsend Street Molotov cocktail attack

Two women have been left without a home after a Molotov cocktail was thrown through their apartment window in downtown Sydney early Thursday morning.
Police say they were called to the older, two-storey building on Townsend Street just after 3 a.m. Thursday. They say the Molotov cocktail was thrown through the rear window of the apartment, causing fire and smoke damage to the building’s interior.
Neither of the two women were injured.
Red Cross volunteers arranged emergency lodging and meals for both.
Investigators are now looking for any eyewitnesses or evidence that may help point to who’s responsible for the fire.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the regional police or Crime Stoppers.
