Regional Police are investigating after an accident involving one of their police cruisers in Sydney early this morning.

They say officers got a report the car hydroplaned and rolled over into a yard on Argyle Street at about 3:00, damaging the front window of a home.

Police say the officer in the car and the person in the home were not injured.

The home’s window was temporarily repaired by officers on scene and will be replaced.

The police car was badly damaged and will be assessed by municipal fleet managers.

RCMP are helping with the accident investigation.
