Police ask for public’s help to solve Christmas lobster boat sinking

The Richmond County RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find the person or persons responsible for sinking the April & Brothers in St. Peter’s Canal over Christmas.

Police say they were called Boxing Day morning about the sunken lobster boat.

They say the boat has been recovered from the canal and is being examined.

The captain of the boat, Ashton Bernard, says he found his boat vandalised and under water at around 8 am Boxing Day, with at least four bullet holes through the deck.

He says he doesn’t know who would do such a thing.

Anyone who knows anything about the sinking of the April & Brothers is asked to call the Richmond County RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
