Plea Hearing Adjourned For Murder Accused

A plea hearing was adjourned today for a Florence man charged in the death of 60-year-old Robert Thomas Bradley from Sydney Mines.

39-year-old John Patrick White is facing a count of second-degree murder in Bradley’s death.

White is due back in court on Wednesday of next week to set a date for a preliminary hearing.

40-year-old Stephen Michael Bishop from North Sydney is also charged with second degree murder in the case.

Regional Police say officers got a call on September 3rd of last year about an assault at a home on Brook Street in North Sydney.

They say paramedics treated the man who was assaulted but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
