Plea Hearing Adjourned For Manslaughter Accused

A plea hearing was adjourned today for a Sydney man charged with manslaughter.

69-year-old Alan Michael Ryan is charged in the death of 99-year-old Howard James Pettipas.

Ryan is accused of pushing Pettipas in a common area in the multi-unit apartment building they both lived in on George Street in July of last year.

Pettipas suffered a broken hip and further medical complications led to his death on July 20th.

Ryan continues his release on conditions and is due back in court for a plea hearing on November 29th.
