Plea Dates Set For 2 of 3 Accused In Hanna Case

Two of three people charged after the death of 17 year-old Joneil Hanna from North Sydney are now due back in court next month after making court appearances today.

52 year-old Kenneth Wilkie and 49 year-old Donna Wilkie from Leitches Creek are charged with allowing drunkenness on their property.

Hanna died after being hit by an SUV following a grad party in Leitches Creek on June 10th.

Regional Police say 21 year-old Hayden Kenneth Laffin from Bras d’Or was the driver.

He faces a charge of attempting to obstruct justice and is due back in court for a plea hearing on October 3^rd.

The Wilkie’s are free on conditions as they await plea hearings on October 16^th.
