Plea Date Set In Attempted Murder Case

A Membertou man is due back in court next month to enter pleas on charges including attempted murder.

25 year-old Justin Frank Isaac-Francis also faces a charge of aggravated assault and four counts of breaching court orders after a 54 year-old man was seriously injured in Sydney over the weekend.

The incident happened at a home on Glenwood Street on Sunday morning, and the man assaulted was taken to the Regional Hospital before being transferred to Halifax, where he’s listed in critical condition.

Isaac-Francis had been released from custody earlier this month after being jailed for assault and 16 counts of breaching court orders.

His plea hearing on the latest charges is scheduled for December 20th.
