Pilot Program To Test Health Clinics In Pharmacies

Two Cape Breton pharmacies are taking part in a pilot program to test having healthcare clinics in pharmacies.

The Shoppers Drug Mart on Prince Street in Sydney and the North Sydney PharmaChoice are among 12 pharmacies taking part in the pilot for the Community Pharmacy Primary Care Clinics program.

Pharmacists at the clinics will have time to see patients with common illnesses and people who are on medications for chronic diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular and lung disease.

Appointments open tomorrow.

Information on booking and a list of available services can be found online at pans.ns.ca/cppcc.
