Phase 1 Of Omicron Wave Reopening Plan In Effect, Today

Phase 1 of the province’s Omicron wave reopening plan is in effect today.

Starting today, people no longer have to show proof of full COVD-19 vaccination before entering a restaurant, gym, or any other non-essential, discretionary event or activity.

However, other restrictions including indoor masks, two-metre physical distancing and indoor capacity limits remain in effect.

Phase two will start a week from today and will see restaurants and bars going back to regular hours and operating at 75 per cent capacity.

By March 21st, the reopening plan is scheduled to see the end of all COVID-19 restrictions in Phase 3.
