People Can Now Make Claims In Bread Price Fixing Lawsuit

The claims process in now open in a settlement with George Weston Limited and Loblaw Companies Limited in a nationwide bread, price fixing lawsuit.

Both companies agreed to a $500 million settlement in the case with class actions continuing against Canada Bread, Sobeys, Wal-Mart Canada, Giant Tiger and Metro.

The claims process is open to any Canadian who bought packaged bread between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2021.

People who lived anywhere in Canada outside of Quebec on December 31, 2021 should go to CanadianBreadSettlement.ca for more information and to file a claim for compensation.

The deadline to submit a completed claim form is December 12th.
