The Health Authority says it can resume offering lab PCR tests for people who test positive on a rapid COVID-19 test.
It says it’s able to do this because of the drop in new COVID-19 cases.
Nova Scotia Health says people who test positive on a rapid antigen test can now choose to either isolate as a positive case or get a confirmation PCR lab test.
If the lab test is negative, people are not required to isolate and can resume normal activities as long as they have no symptoms.
Confirmation lab testing was put on hold in December at the height of the Omicron wave.
