People Being Warned To Prepare For Winter Storm

People are being advised to be ready for possible power outages as a winter storm makes its way to Cape Breton, tomorrow.

Nova Scotia Power says it’s stationed power line and forestry crews across the province, starting last night.

The utility says people should have an emergency kit ready that contains a flashlight, a battery-powered radio and fresh water.

Marine Atlantic is warning customers its ferry schedule could be affected for three days, starting tomorrow because of the storm.

 The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have already announced tomorrow night’s home game with Moncton will be played at 7:00 tonight instead.
