People Being Asked To Prepare With Heavy Rain And High Winds On The Way

The province’s Emergency Management Office is advising people to take steps to protect themselves and their property with rainfall and wind warnings in effect for the entire province.

EMO says people should have enough food and water on hand for 72 hours, check radio and flashlight batteries and make sure their cellphones are charged.

People are also being asked to move or secure anything that can be picked up by the wind.

EMO says it’s keeping in close touch with provincial and municipal emergency management officers and co-ordinators as the storm approaches.
