People Asked To Observe A Moment Of Silence Again Today

Premier Tim Houston is asking people to observe a moment of silence at noon again today to mark four years since the mass shooting in the province that killed 22 people.

Flags at Province House and all provincial government buildings and institutions are at half-mast until sunset today.

Citizens, businesses and community organizations that fly flags have also been encouraged to lower their flags to half-mast.

The province and Ottawa held a public inquiry into the shooting and the circumstances surrounding it.

The Mass Casualty Commission released its final report last year, with 130 recommendations for preventing similar events in the future and improving public safety.
