PC Leadership Convention October 26-27

The new provincial Progressive Conservative leader will be chosen at the leadership convention in Halifax on October 26-27th.

The party says members by September 11th will get one vote with the option of mail-in with preferential voting or voting at convention with multiple ballots.

There’s a $30 thousand entry fee with the cut off for declaring is August 13th.

Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke is running to succeed Jamie Baillie.

MLAs John Lohr, Tim Houston and Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin as well as Halifax Seaport Farmers Market executive director Julie Chaisson are also running.
