Patients Relocated After Regional Hospital Fire

Eighteen patients at the Regional Hospital in Sydney have been relocated after a small fire in their unit, yesterday, morning.

The provincial Health Authority says the fire broke out at around 11:30 in Unit 1B.

It adds the patients were evacuated and relocated within the hospital, and no injuries were reported.

It goes on to say the fire was confined to a small area of the unit and caused some smoke damage.

The patients will return to the unit once cleanup work is finished.

The fire marshal’s office is investigating.
