Pandemic Continuing To Affect Hospital Services

Public Health says anyone admitted to hospital may be transferred elsewhere as the province tries to make space available for people who need treatment for COVID-19.

It says that applies to people regardless of their reason for admission and will be based on the level of care needed and how many beds are available.

Health officials also say more service reductions, including postponement of non-urgent surgeries, may continue to be needed to make sure staff are available to provide the required inpatient and intensive care around the province.
