Pair Arrested for Drug Trafficking

Regional Police say they and the RCMP Integrated Drug Unit arrested two people in Sydney yesterday.

They say a 31-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and marijuana.

The man has also been charged with two counts of breaching a recognizance and resisting arrest.

Police say they took cocaine, marijuana and cash at a home on Shendale Drive in Sydney.

Police go on to say the man has been held in custody while the woman has been released on strict conditions.

The pair will both appear in court on Monday.
