P-C Leadership Hopeful Wants To End NSLC Monopoly

Progressive Conservative leadership hopeful John Lohr says he wants to end the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation’s monopoly on alcohol sales.

The King’s North MLA made the policy announcement, this morning.

He says the move will lead to lower prices and greater choice.

Lohr is one two declared candidates hoping to replace Jamie Baillie.

Pictou East MLA and P-C Finance Critic Tim Houston is the only other declared candidate in the race.

Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke says he’s considering a run for the P-C leadership.
